BG man remains in intensive care after crash

first_imgA Battle Ground teen remained in critical condition in a hospital Wednesday night after crashing a car very early Tuesday.A resident in the Pleasant Valley area called 911 shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday to a report that a car had crashed in the driveway of a home in the 6200 block of Northeast 159th Street.An engine crew from the Vancouver Fire Department’s Glenwood station found Aaron Boutwell, 18, partially ejected from the passenger door of a BMW.The car was apparently traveling east on 159th Street when it veered off the road, into a ditch and struck a railroad tie, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.Firefighters freed Boutwell from the damaged vehicle, according to Jim Flaherty, firefighter-spokesman. A captain and a paramedic from the fire department rode with American Medical Response paramedics in the ambulance, to help keep Boutwell alive as they transported him to Southwest Washington Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition in intensive care Wednesday night, a nursing supervisor said.last_img
