Attack leaves teenager in hospital

first_imgPrint GARDAI in Murroe have confirmed they are investigating a serious assault on a teenager at the weekend.The 17-year old was walking home with friends from a party when an altercation broke out on the street, gardai said.The young man was badly beaten and suffered cuts and bruises which necessitated him being treated in hospital for two days.Sign up for the weekly Limerick Post newsletter Sign Up Gardai are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or who was in the area at the time – between 11pm and midnight – to contact them.“A number of people have a already come forward but we would still like to talk to anyone who was in the area or who saw anything as it would assist our investigations,” a garda spokesperson said.
