Passengers brawl with China Eastern staff

first_imgPassengers were pushed past their limits and staff threw out all customer service guildelines, when a fight between travellers and China Eastern service employees broke out in Beijing. The disturbance occurred late last week at Beijing International Airport after a China Eastern flight was delayed a number of times without an explanation, Beijing Cream reported.Additionally, staff kept moving passengers back and forth, changing the boarding gate number on several occasions. The fight picked up when a group passengers approached a customer service desk and were surprised to find no staff present. Two hours later the group allegedly returned and requested airport workers locate China Eastern staff.Upon their return, staff denied ever leaving the table and insisted the boarding gate had not changed – even after a woman showed the employee the gate number on the board differed from the gate number on her ticket. An on duty manager attempted to resolve the issue, but was struck over the head by a newspaper thrown by one of the passengers.Losing his temper, team members attempted to restrain the manager and even had to catch the chair he had picked up and aimed at the crowd. The flight eventually departed Beijing, four hours after its original departure time.Check out the brawl in the video below.
